International Healthcare Center
The International Healthcare Center at Asan Medical Center(AMC) was primarily responsible for providing primary care to foreign travelers or foreign residents in Korea when it opened in 1989.
Currently, as news of Asan Medical Center's exceptional treatment outcomes spreads through various media outlets abroad, an increasing number of international patients (from the US, Russia, Mongolia, the Middle East, etc.) are seeking treatment at the hospital, not just foreign residents in Korea. In response to this, AMC International Healthcare Center has established a team to coordinate services such as interpretation and billing to ensure that international patients receive treatment without discomfort and can return home.
In addition, AMC International Healthcare Center provides physical examinations and English document issuance services for Koreans preparing to study or work overseas.
The four main services provided by AMC International Healthcare Center are:
- Treatment by specialized physicians who can communicate in English or Japanese at a native speaker level.
- A team of international patient-dedicated nurses and administrative professionals who provide the highest level of coordination services.
- Native speakers of Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Mongolian, and Vietnamese who provide seamless interpretation and coordination services.
- English document issuance services such as health status confirmation certificates (PCR tests) for overseas travelers, Israel working holiday visas, and visa physical exams (E2, H2).
AMC International Healthcare Center supports international patients of various races, languages, cultures, and nationalities so that they can receive treatment smoothly. Additionally, it conducts visa physical examinations for studying or training abroad.

AMC International Healthcare Center (IHC) offers a one-stop total care service for international patients such as appointments for treatment and examinations, billing, admission and discharge, medical reports and issuing CDs, etc.
Language Assistance
AMC International Healthcare Center provides in-hospital concierge services. We offer English, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, Mongolian, and Vietnamese translation, escort, and counseling services throughout the overall medical process from appointment, treatment, billing, examination, and administration.
Billing & Insurance
For most organizations, we can arrange direct billing services. Whenever you visit our hospital, our administrators can bill your embassies or your insurance companies directly.
